First of all, thank you everyone that dontated to Stone Circle of Friends for the December 24th Karma Claus classes. Together we raised over $4,000 for Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy research. This is an amazing thing that we've done for our community and thank you for being a part of it. As per request, here are two yummy recipes that were served at the Karma Claus classes. Please enjoy... Vegan Banana Chololate Chip Bread Ingredients: 1 loaf 4 bananas 1/3 cup vegan margarine, melted 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 1/2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips Directions 1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees and lightly grease bread pan. 2 In a medium bowl, mash bananas and add margarine, vanilla, sugars and mix. 3 Add flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon and mix until combined. 4 Stir in chocolate chips. 5 pour into bread pan. Bake for 45 min at 325 and then raise oven temp to 350 for 15-25 more min depending on how hard you want the outside to be. Juliano's RAW Oatmeal Cookies from the book "RAW - the uncook book" Ingredients 2 cups oat groats 3/4 cup dates 1/2 cup dried raisins (or dried fruit of choice) 1/2 cup raw almonds coursley chopped 2 or 3 apples grated 1/2 cup raw cashews Directions Place oat groats in a food processor and grind until fine. If you dont have a food processor, use a blender and add a little maple syrup to help the dough turn over. Transfer the groats to a mixing bowl and add the dates, raisins, almonds and apples and mix the batter well. Set aside. In a coffee grinder grind the chashews until they resemble a silky flour. On a mesh dehydrator sheet shape the batter. Keep in mind that the thicker you shape the cookies the longer they take to dehydrate. Dehydrate the cookies at 90 degrees until they reach your preferred texture, around 12 hours. They dont need to be crunchy all the way though.
