I started Bikram Toga in March at my wife's urging to help get my legs stronger for a planned knee surgery in May. I have a torn ACL, and Miniscus in my right knee (and that is my good knee!). Everyone tells me the harder you work pre-op the faster and easier the recovery. I have been going to yoga 4 times a week. I went to the pre-op physical yesterday, April 30, and the Orthopedist said my knee was fine, there was no more locking and that the surgery is no longer needed. So we canceled the surgery! Bikram yoga was my surgery preparation, now it is my surgery prevention! And I feel great too!
