“Medically I was a walking stroke and now have reduced my triglycerides from 1325 to 170 without medication.” One year ago I was overstressed, over weight, not sleeping and had the triglycerides of 12 people ( 1325 should be 160) and suffered from ADD so bad I looked to 3 year olds as role models for being still. Then I was asked to go to a Bikram yoga class. Me spend 90 minutes focused and still while working out in an 105 degree room. Yeah right was my first response, no way. A cave man like me doing "yoga" real men pump iron at the gym... I don't think so. One year and over 150 classes later I want to be the official spokesperson for Bikram. It has had an amazing impact on my life. I feel fantastic! I have lost 15 pounds and increased my strength and flexibility. My ankle used to crack from an old basketball injury and sound like a gun firing every step I took. I was not able to sit Japanese style when I started. The crack and pain are gone and I have gained strength and flexibility even in areas I did not know existed. My focus, energy and productivity are all at never before seen levels. I would strongly recommend Bikram to everyone!!! I would especially like to challenge all other men out there to drop the dumbbell and come get a "real" workout! The staff is amazing and extremely helpful and made it easy for a "knuckle dragging Neanderthal" like me to adapt, learn and fell comfortable from day one. If I can do it anyone can some come on guys "drop the doughnut" and get to class! Thanks again!!!
