Bikram Yoga, the original hot yoga, is world famous for its miraculous healing ability. The 90-minute class is a series of 26 yoga postures and two breathing exercises taught in 105 degree heat. Each posture is scientifically designed to address a specific area of the body in sequence, while moving oxygenated blood throughout 100 percent of the body. By the end of your yoga class, every cell, organ, gland, joint and muscle has been reorganized, revitalized and re-energized.
Bikram Yoga builds strength, balance and flexibility by gently stretching and massaging the spine, muscles, tendons, joints and internal organs of the body. Lung capacity is expanded, leading to greater vitality. Bones are strengthened. Joints are opened and lubricated. Muscles are toned and made more flexible. Regular practice heals injuries and illnesses, promotes weight loss and brings peace of mind.

Why the heat?
THE HEAT IS NOT TO MAKE CLASS HARD! Bikram heats his yoga room to simulate the hot climate in his native India. The heat has been scientifically proven to:
